About RL Consultancy
RL Consultancy is run by Ros Lucas, a senior professional in the community sector. She has over 30 years’ experience as a chief officer, management consultant, facilitator and adviser. More recently Ros has become an accredited mediator dealing with workplace, civil and commercial disputes and also an action learning set facilitator, working with staff teams on personal and organisational development. She has exceptional people skills and is able to build a trusting and effective relationship quickly.
Ros worked for 15 years within the Citizens Advice Bureau Service as an adviser, debt counsellor, trainer and Chief Officer. This was followed by 8 years as a successful management consultant/facilitator/interim resolution manager to the charitable sector and, latterly, 8 years as Chief Officer of the national Migrants Resource Centre (MRC) where she was engaged initially as an interim CEO to manage change and deal with disputes that were ongoing between management and staff. Having resolved these, Ros stayed and developed the organisation further and then managed successful merger talks with another national charity, including TUPE of staff and other HR issues relating to the merger.
Ros Lucas is an accredited mediator with Align Mediation and member of the Civil Mediation Council and the Society of Mediators. She is a fellow of the School of Social Entrepreneurs and has tutored students of the school. She is also a fellow of the RSA.
Ros has chaired the trustee boards of Blackfriars Advice Centre and Greenwich Citizens Advice Bureaux for a number of years until the end of her tenure. She is currently a trustee of Greenwich CAB and Refugee Action.
